I've heard that most 3D artists prefer Poser, but this one is the only free alternative that I know of. But, in general, DAZ Studio just takes some getting used to. I found my runtime folder when I was looking for it under my document - Daz 3D library - Runtime With some digging, a few newsletters and some patience, good freebies can be discovered. Or they post free costumes of famous characters because selling them would be copywrite infringement. Most of the time it's because people are learning the ropes and post their earlier attempts for free (while charging for the new stuff). Some of my most frequently used props and outfits have been free downloads, but the vast majority of it is outdated or low quality. But, hopefully, they still have the same names, so one can search for them.įree stuff can be touch and go.

Mark - It's possible they relocated the Runtime folder. Dremer (author) from United States on February 12, 2014: I have the DAZ folder saved on my hard drive which i imagine isnt an issue, but the bigger issue is that there is no folder called "content" within the DAZ folder, what should i do about this? So, if you don't see the 'content' folder in your DAZ folder, navigate back to Program Files, and search for a second DAZ folder (It might be called "DAZ Studio" or "DAZ 4".

Content is for informational or entertainment purposes only and does not substitute for personal counsel or professional advice in business, financial, legal, or technical matters. Select “3D models” from the menu along the top of the page, then “free models” from the menu on the left side of the page.
